Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez is a major event bringing together classic and modern sailboats from all over the world. It's about regattas, but not just any race. Firstly, because of its magnificent setting. From the town of Saint-Tropez to the famous sandy beach of Pampelonne, a stunning coastline unfolds along the Mediterranean Sea. Montana Park is the perfect place to appreciate this.
It's also a place where you can admire a variety of boats: racing yachts, speedboats, and older vessels. It's the perfect opportunity to discover different types of boats in a Mediterranean setting.
The Port of Saint-Tropez is a must-see to view the boats in the dock and experience the atmosphere of Les Voiles.
For starts and passages close to the coast, the Portalet sector is particularly interesting: several Modern and Traditional races are scheduled there.
The Sail Village, at the Jean Réveille Pier, is free and open to the public, generally from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. during the event. For 2026, Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez will take place from Saturday, September 26 to Sunday, October 4, 2026. Approximately 250 sailboats are expected.
The history of the Voiles de St Tropez
The story begins one evening in 1981. Two sailors challenged each other to sail around Nioulargo Beach and arrive first in front of Club 55, a restaurant located in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez on Pampelonne Beach. Since then, every year, skippers have competed on this same course. Following an accident and a four-year hiatus, the Var regatta has returned to the public under the name "Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez" (The Sails of Saint-Tropez).
