Want a Holiday Village? Discover the pearls of Saint-Raphaël: Cap du Dramont and Ile d’Or

Just half an hour by car from the 5* Oasis Village, come and discover one of the most beautiful sites in France. In the town of Saint-Raphaël, the red rock coast of Cap du Dramont offers you opportunities for unforgettable walks! Several trails, starting from the picturesque Poussaïou port and Camp Long beach, will reveal breathtaking panoramas. Compare the red rhyolite typical of the Estérel region, and the blue estérellite, present in the form of beautiful pebbles on the Landing Beach. Observe the very rich local flora: phalangea, sage-leaf cistus, tufted lavender, don’t all these plant names smell like the Mediterranean? Take a short detour to the Sémaphore, still in operation.

The Golden Island: a marvelous landscape that inspired Hergé

From the coast of Cap du Dramont, admire the small nearby Ile d’Or: it probably gave the creator of Tintin the idea for his album “L’Ile Noire”! It must be said that this Saracen-style tower planted on its rocks in the middle of the sea stimulates the imagination. Enjoy this beautiful image from the coastal path, as it is private property and cannot be visited. The tower was built in 1912 by a doctor, Auguste Lutaud, who is said to have won the card island and proclaimed himself King Auguste I!

A preserved natural area very close to the 5* Oasis Village holiday village

Access to the magnificent site of Cap du Dramont and Ile d’Or is very simple from your Oasis Village campsite located in Puget-sur-Argens. It only takes half an hour by car to reach one of the Cape Town car parks. Two routes are possible, approximately equivalent. Take the DN7 then the D559, you will pass through Fréjus and Saint-Raphaël, or a little further north, the DN7 then the D100, a route which avoids the city centers.
