A few kilometers from the Parc Saint James holiday villages, the marvelous fireworks of Cannes
The Côte-d’Azur is very active during the summer period. Many festive events, such as National Day, are an opportunity to witness superb fireworks. In Cannes, the Pyrotechnic Art Festival which takes place every year has become very prestigious thanks to the quality of its performances. In July and August, the best specialists from around the world will once again come to defend the colors of their country, on a chosen theme. If their shots manage to convince the jury, they will receive the Silver Vestal and will be able to compete next year for the Golden Vestal. A jury prize and a public prize are also distributed. It is a colorful event, which brings together hundreds of thousands of spectators every evening in the bay of Cannes.
Monaco, Nice, Antibes… The pearls of the Côte-d’Azur sparkle
Antibes and Juan-les-Pins
In Antibes, one of the most pleasant seaside resorts near Cannes, the festivities also feature fireworks. Less than an hour’s drive from our campsites, you will discover the Antibes Fireworks Festival, between July and August, on the beautiful coastal beaches. On July 13 and 14, around 10:30 p.m., the shots will light up the city’s sky. Every year in August, sound, music and light shows will enchant the bay of Juan-les-Pins. Nice and its Promenade des Anglais
In Nice, on the famous Promenade des Anglais, bonfires are generally lit on July 14 and August 15, with the particularity of being accompanied by a “Prom’Party”, made up of multiple concerts near the beaches.
The Monaco competition
Finally, a little further away, in the principality of Monaco, the prestigious “Monaco Art en Ciel – International Fireworks Competition” is held. Spread over four evenings, with two shots in July and two shots in August, this competition sees four different countries compete each year, since 1966, from 9:30 p.m.
